Delete

In JITX, certain board elements, such as vias, routes, control points, and differential insertion points, can be deleted to refine your PCB layout or correct mistakes. However, elements defined in code cannot be deleted through the UI.

Steps to Delete Elements

  1. Select Elements: Select the vias, routes, control points, or differential insertion points you want to delete. Multiple elements can be selected using Shift or area selection (see Selecting Board Elements).

  2. Delete Elements: Press Delete to remove the selected elements from the board.

Behavior

  • Deletable Elements: Vias, routes, control points, and differential insertion points can be deleted using the Delete key.
  • Non-Deletable Elements: Code-locked vias and routes, as well as components and pads, cannot be deleted through the UI.
  • Supplemental Deletion: Routes to deleted vias, control point, and differential insertion points are deleted as well.
