Auto Pair Insertion

The Auto Pair Insertion feature in JITX automatically places differential insertion points between selected elements, making it easier to create differential pairs on your PCB layout.

Steps

  1. Select Elements: Select the pads, vias, or control points that you want to connect to differential pairs.
  2. Auto-Place Insertion Points: Press Shift + i to automatically place insertion points between the selected elements.

Behavior

  • Pairing Elements by Distance: The system pairs up selected elements based on proximity. For each pair, if there is enough space, an insertion point is placed equidistant between them, and routes are created from each element to the point.
  • Note: If an odd number of elements are selected, one element will remain unpaired and won't be connected to an insertion point.
